Meet Our Team

Physical Therapist Dr. Ashley Romine

FOUNDER + PHYSICAL THERAPIST

Dr. Ashley Romine, DPT

Meet Dr. Ashley Romine, the powerhouse behind Athlete's Mechanic Physical Therapy and a champion for keeping bodies strong, resilient, and injury-free. A proud graduate of the University of Alabama (Biology, 2008) and the University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences (Doctorate in Physical Therapy, 2012), Ashley brings a wealth of expertise to her practice.

After moving to the Lowcountry with her husband David, Ashley spent years honing her skills in orthopedic outpatient clinics. But her passion for helping active adults—fueled by her own love for running, weightlifting, CrossFit, and triathlon training—led her to create a practice that truly puts the "personal" in personalized care. Athlete's Mechanic focuses on functional movement, performance enhancement, and achieving each client’s unique goals.

When she’s not helping clients crush their fitness milestones, you’ll find Ashley living her best life outdoors—gardening, working out, or cheering on her kids at travel baseball games and dance. Her mission? To help “athletes” of all kinds move better, feel stronger, and stay in the game they love.

Physical Therapist Dr. Meghan Teed

FOUNDER + PHYSICAL THERAPIST

Dr. Meghan Teed, DPT

Meet Dr. Meghan Teed, founder of Mindful Movement and Scoliologic and your go-to person for scoliosis-informed strength, nervous system balance, and long-term pain relief. With a BA in Psychology (2007) and a Doctorate in Physical Therapy (2011), both from the University of Pittsburgh, Meghan blends clinical expertise with a persistent curiosity for what is at the root to help bodies heal—especially when traditional rehab doesn’t do the job.

She’s trained in the Schroth Method P1 through Scoliosis Spine Online Learning (SSOL), and completed Visceral Manipulation (VM1) and Neural Manipulation (NM1) with the Barral Institute—all part of her mission to treat the whole person, not just the X-ray. Meghan knows there’s more than one way to help people with scoliosis or the kind of stubborn, sneaky pain that keeps them from their sport or simply caring for their family.

Her specialty? Supporting active adults who want to stay on the tennis court, pickleball court, golf course, or gym floor—without fear, pain, or frustration. Whether you're dealing with scoliosis or chronic discomfort that’s been brushed off as “just aging,” Meghan’s here to help you move better, feel stronger, and finally get care that makes sense for your body.

When she’s not coaching clients or cueing breathwork, you’ll find Meghan on the tennis courts, the beach with her husband (a golf pro at Rose Hill, currently coaching her through a very humbling golf journey), walking her corgi–Aussie mix, Guaran (Guaran Teed), or catering to her cat, Certain (Certain Teed), who thinks every drink around the house is hers.
